Swan Jewelers now Johnson Jewelers of Lake City
Johnson Jewelers of Lake City is a full service, independently owned fine jewelry store. The previous owner, Steve Swan, founded Swan Jewelers in 1988. Prior to opening the store, he worked for small family owned jewelry stores, a jewelry store chain, a guild jeweler and then as a sales rep on the road for a colored stone company. New owner, Karen Johnson-Leonard, is excited to carry on the Swan legacy and continue to be the best jeweler of Lake City, MN.

A DAZZLING HISTORY
Did you know that our building was built in 1877 after a great fire consumed much of the downtown area? Crane Bros. Jewelers was the first resident of the new building, followed by the Schmidt Bros. Jewelers, then Conway Jewelers, Swan Jewelers, and now Johnson Jewelers of Lake City. Over 143 years this building has stood in Lake City and has always been home to diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, topaz, citrine, garnet, amethyst, and peridot!
Custom Made Jewelry
Repairs, Appraisals, Redesigns, and More!
Sometimes looking through catalogs or the stock at jewelry stores just doesn’t work out. When a customer has a special piece of jewelry in mind, compromising doesn’t feel right when there’s the option of custom jewelry. However, depending on where they’re looking, the jeweler might not be able to create a custom piece or the price is inflated because it has to be sent out to another store. Luckily, we have goldsmiths on staff, so we can always offer custom work when our current collection doesn’t hit the mark.
Mississippi River Pearls
Mounted in rings, pendants, and earrings of your choice, Lake Pepin Pearls will become treasured keepsakes.
Whether you’re proposing or just treating yourself to a piece of jewelry you’ve always wanted, we’ve got the staff and expertise to bring your dream to life. Check out some insipration or stop by our storeroom to start the process.
