About Karen Johnson

In 1982, Karen would come home from high school and work at her father’s shop in Woodbury, MN. The passion and hard work her parents put into Johnson Jewelers sparked a lifelong career for Karen. It started at the Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica, California where she was the youngest woman in her class and the first to graduate. Karen was a natural. After graduation, she worked as a goldsmith around the country before returning to Johnson Jewelers, where she is now the sole owner of the Woodbury and Lake City locations. To this day, Karen’s passion and desire to grow has always stayed the same. Her favorite part of coming to work is turning the old into new, an opportunity she gets quite often as she creates custom work for customers.
